The following is far from exhaustive as I do not have Genius installed on this
machine to check for all changes but this is what I remember.

>v1 to v2

At least the display mode that is then VGA 640x480
Probably the change of name occured sometimes here (from Mephisto Genius to
Chess Genius)

>v2 to v3

New functionalities like databases support (CBF), previously Genius supported
only its .GAM format.

>v3 to v4

V4 is the first windows version, engine is also more agressive

>v4 to v5

Book learning is added (which is the reason I disagree with people saying that
V3 is the strongest one, even if the stength is almost the same, on the long run
V5 is better)

>v5 to v6

Complete change of GUI, you also forgot V6.1 which, if I recalled correctly was
the first to support external engines (a winboard adapter was available for
download too).

Support of autoboard external chessboard disappears at V6 so I stopped buying it
here and so I don't know much about 6.5.

>v6 to v6.5 is the only one I think I've seen described in recent year.
