No.  It was on my 7.1 and 7.2 redhat installs.  Might have been on 7.0
as well...

USB is also ok.  USB stuff works great on my sony laptop and redhat 7.2...

It must be downloadable, although since I only use redhat now I won't begin

Redhat doesn't.  I don't know about SUSE any longer.  But redhat has the
ISO images for new releases up on their web site prior to their being
released and sold.  They even make beta releases available even earlier..
