Another thing to keep in mind is that Fritz7 (appearently) makes extensive use of bitboard operations via the MMX instruction set. It is possible that these instructions are singificantly faster on the Athlon than they are on the K6, causing F7 to gain relatively more speed on the Athlon processor. -- GCP
