Are you familiar with "Searching for Bobby Fischer"? It began as a book. I owned it in hardcover. Then it was made into a movie starring several famous actors, including Ben Kingsley, who had previously won a best actor Academy Award for playing Mahatma Gandhi. The fact that they turned a chess book I owned into a big movie sort of blew my mind. It is the basis for my joke (attempt) about not reading those computer chess books until they are also made into movies.
