Hi Fernando,
I think that the engine itself is considerably improved in playing level
compared to Zarkov 3. However, I am not really happy with the user interface and
its options to call the engine. It looks a little bit poor to me, seems it was
done in great hurry. E.g., there isn't any possibility to set up tournament-like
time controls, only blitz and Fischer-clock. Also, the manual is essentially
missing, except for a few unbound pages. But I think that shortcomings of this
kind should be attributed to the database-GUI, and not to the engine. I think
that Zarkov 4.3 would deserve better. I am sure that it's closer to the top than
older versions of Zarkov.
I can't say anything about the chess database system ("MasterChess-98") cause my
main interest has been the engine, and I haven't played with it yet.

After all, I would say that for someone mainly interested in the chess engine
(like me), I am not sure whether it's reasonable to spend the money. I would be
happier with a Winboard compatible Zarkov engine (arbitray time controls,
automatic play, ...).
Regards, Uli
