Subject: Personalities in ChessMaster are common; why not in Fritz (etc.)?

It seems very common for people to try different sets of settings for
ChessMaster, and publish their results.

Why don't people change the settings of the Fritz 7 engine, test the new
settings, and publish THOSE results as often?

Today Mustafa posted something in this vein and it got me wondering why it's not
more common.

Is it because CM lets you play multiple settings against each other?  But isn't
it better to test against a completely different engine anyway?
