The update of Fritz 7 to the 5/24/02 version now works. Thanks for your expert help. However, I have noticed another problem caused by this update. I have Hiarcs 8 on the same computer in a separate folder called D:\Hiarcs 8. After the Fritz update, when I go into Hiarcs, the Help/About says "Fritz 7" and the file in the \Hiarcs folder is "chessprogram7.exe" 7124 KB of 4/14/02. So Did this Fritz update overwrite Hiarcs 8?
