Those bug reports could end (or get fewer) if - commercial engine authors decided to fix the problem - companies stopped selling inclomplete TB sets - Or put a label on the disk "Be aware that the TBs are not suitable for games of the engines ..." - Users stopped installing incomplete sets of TBs, or only used them for analysis I think, that the first point is the most desiarable one. The last point would probably mean, that many users would be forced to use 4-men tables only, while they in principle could use selected and useful 5-men tables. By this, indirectly engines that care about incomplete sets of TBs and have no problem with them may get a small disadvantage. (It would be impractical for most users to have different TB installations). BTW. When an engine ships with incomplete set of TBs, and there is no special documentation explaining all the consequences of using them, I would consider this a bug of the engine, and would not call such a bug report nonsense.
