>Actually I do run F7, H8 and S6 in parallel and all seems to work flawlessly and the respective dates have not changed for H8 or S6. Sorry, it´s only MY opinion, but why should one install three identical (and very large) program under different names and folders? The other thing I would be really interested in: As far as I know all three programs are named ChessProgram7.exe and all three store their configuration files under the same names (Apps70.ini, Default.lay, ...) and in the same folder C:\Windows\Anwendungsdaten\ ChessBase\ChessProgram7 (replace "Anwendungdaten" with "CustomerData" or "UserData" or whatever, I don´t know the correct name in English Windows version). So how should these config files keep track of which GUI they are belonging to? I only have Fritz7 but I´ve heard exactly of those problems I mentioned in some postings in other fora. But I always like to learn something new - so it would be nice, if you could explain the solution to this problem. Where and in which folders are your config files stored? Regards, Franz.
