It's mentioned about 3 times daily by different people, since Shredder 6 (the
second program using that GUI exe) was released.

IMO it's basically a "ChessBase user newbies" problem. For long-time users of
those program series, the situation was similar with the previous GUI versions
already. Fritz, Junior, Nimzo, Hiarcs etc. all came with the same GUI program.
So we are familiar with that.

The best trick probably is to use only *one* installation directory (it
shouldn't matter what it's called, i.e. Fritz 7, ChProg_7), and if someone buys
and second and third program which has the same GUI, uninstall the previous one,
install the new one, install the latest update from the web. (Probably it's a
good idea to backup the engines before, although I don't think they are
uninstalled... I'm not sure.)

But it's obvious that new users are not aware of that, because it's more common
to see a complete package as "one program" in total. But OTOH, the GUI/engine
concept is widely known, so I think at least some people will also have done it
like described above, anyway.

I expect this will sooner or later be improved further. The neutral naming of
the GUI executeable, and the option to choose what it should identify as in the
options, already are such improvements (compared to the older versions).
