Great news that the rules are finally up, I am very happy that they have gone for 9 rounds instead of the 7 used for WCCC in 1999. 60 in 2hr seems like a reasonable time control. The time adjusting rule is a bit of a funny one, but it shouldn't have a major impact. A disappointment is that there is NO MENTION of any rules regarding the use of opening books or GUIs. For example, there is no rule that I can see which would prevent me turning up and using the Shredder GUI and Shredder book. I wonder how many people will be using the Fritz book?? I am still waiting to hear from the organisors about whether they can supply me with a PC. cheers, Peter
