Yes, I'm using Large Fonts, 125% of normal size, and 1024x768 resolution
(maximum for this box). I suppose that's the reason. My entire system has been
customized & integrated to use Large Fonts, which took quite a bit of work. I
need the improved legibility, and won't change it just for Scid. It's not really
too serious. I can see most of that window, but must drag it sideways to see the
ends. It just emphasizes that the Scid design doesn't take Windows features into
full consideration.

Since then I've had a look at Chessbase Light too. It isn't any improvement over
Scid. Neither are easy to understand or use for a beginner. I'm now somewhat
doubtful that I'll ever use either of them. Looks like too much work for too
little gain.

What would be nice: If the ChessLab.com site would allow input of my personal
chess games, after which I could use their operations to access them. That would
more than sufficient for my purposes. Surely some ambitious entrepreneur is
listening... :)
