Rumors are just rumors. But you have to ask yourself why AMD isn't raising the FSB. They can do it you know. There are no technical reasons why not. The EV6 bus has no problem delivering 400MHz bandwidth. Because it has been able to do so from the start. AMD is playing the money game here, no doubt. And do not want to be in the Intel situation, where the high end PIII is killing the low to medium end P4 CPU's. That's why it's not certain that they will release the MP with higher FSB. And the FSB is the only thing stopping the Athlon from hammering the speedy P4 :) The thing you are calling lagging behind is most probably the staging of a new round of releases. MvH Dan Andersson
