This is not a "myth" ! You dont need to know much physics to compute just the thermo-biological effect raising the temperator in your head by more than 2 degree celcius depending on the type of phone, signal strength and length of the call. Now the electro-dynamic effect on your cells is disputed. And I dont think its likely to cause cancer by default. But the other extreme oppinion that it has no effect at all is equally hard to imagine. Greetings, Georg >Perhaps you haven't heard this myth (well, let's hope it's a myth) that used to >circulate when cell phones first became popular -- it was feared (by those who >like to fear such things) that the electromagnetic field produced by the cell >phone could cause brain tumors due to the phone being held to the ear, proximal >to the brain, for long periods. Presumably, the message warns us of a similar >hazard from playing too many games of cell phone chess -- thumb cancer, warts, >or maybe even severe fingernail discoloration. >So when can we expect Nokia Tiger to become available? > >Regards, >Vine Smith
