At NASA when I was there a few years ago, we played with fuel cells.  They
contained hydrogen and were very unsafe [they could explode].  Some went to the
moon!  There has been a lot of talk, too, about the practicality of using
hydrogen fuel cells in electric automobiles, since the byproduct is water.
[Safety is also an issue there, too, of course.] But none of them were/are small
enough to fit into a handheld Palm, that's for sure!!!
