Hi Hugo, They say that the SSDF tournament was played at the default settings of the chess softwares. I did this in 4 games explained in my hardware set-up and CM just trounced Fritz6 even while running at a slower computer speed. I am now inclined to believe my Fritz6 is flawed. My Fritz 7 is downloaded and it does not have optimum features. My Shredder 5.32 is always beaten by my Fritz6 so it is much easier to defeat by the Chessmaster. The settings I mentioned earlier were suggested mainly by Mustafa and I tried permutations of this with the 2 hardware configuration I have to no avail. Perhaps my Fritz6 is really flawed is what I can come up with. Sandi
