Terry try this.

Open Chess Tiger 14.
Go to "extra, Options, Chess Engine.
Check "use endgame databases".
In advanced.
Endgame Tab.
I have my Tablebase path as   C:\Tablebases.

hit apply and ok.
go to board.
Under edit, edit position.

 [D] 4k3/3n4/8/8/8/8/3BB3/4K3 w - - 0 1
White to move.

now do not use in analysis mode.
Use the "computer move" icon.
mine shows  Mate in 47  depth 43

if yours shows this, Chess tiger will access egdb in game. or in a test
position.

my analysis mode will not access egdb if no search is required.
if the position is pure egdb position, i have to use "computer move".
