I think 255 is as good a limit as any.
Theoreticly it may crash, but so can 265 or even 300 for all I know.
It is above the maximum number of moves ever created for a position, it will
have to make do until it crashes or someone shows me otherwise :)
I only chose 255 because it fits nicely in a char 0xFF (good for data packing).
