Microsoft has built its empire by letting people copy their software. That has killed the competition while MS did not really need to sell that much due to the fact that money came by itself from the sales of new computers, on which a copy of DOS then Windows was preinstalled (and paid by the customer). I knew that sooner or later people -me included- would get caught by this. But please never forget that your job and your salary is what it is thanks to the million of pirated copies of MS software in the years 1986-2000. Piracy has not been fought by Microsoft. It has just been kept under reasonable control. That was so convenient. When all competition has been killed Microsoft suddenly comes up with a real protection system. What a coincidence. Now if you want to discuss about piracy, who does and who doesn't, let's go. Christophe
