There has been a fair amount of criticism of the Hiarcs 8 book (the one on the CD and the new and improved "Tournament Book"). Has anyone run tests of Hiarcs 8 vs other programs with the openings books (and learning) not playing a role in the results? I'm wondering if Hiarcs 8 is a decent program with a comparatively poor book (compared to Fritz 7 at least). It seems a Nunn or Nunn2 test might help support or disprove my theory. Has anyone done this? Roy
