The program Kasparov's Gambit, whose chess engine was created by the
Socrates team, was an older dos program that required expanded memory. Win95
handles expanded memory programs nicely but must have the
device=C:\win95\emm386.exe line in the config.sys file removed.
Is there a line like
that in your config.sys file? This file is found in the root directory.
