Yes.  If you search the CCC archives you will find the discussion.  Amir
started it and I originally disagreed with him, thinking that KQ vs KR would
be very hard for the KQ side to win, since humans have a great deal of trouble
with it, including GM players.

However, to test Amir's claim that Junior could win it easily without the
tables, I picked a bunch of random KQ vs KR positions, and played Crafty
vs Crafty, with the KQ side having no tables, the KR side having tables.
The KQ side won every time, which greatly surprised me.  The games were not
"perfect" according to the tablebases, but they did not slip over the 50 move
rule either.

No.  It has no probe code for the Thompson tables.

The question is, what kind of score?  IE at a conversion point the mate
scores would jump back up which would cause a bit of a problem...
