Hi Heiner I do something similar in Wilhelm for corresponding squares and I've also already thought about other applications such as the perpetual check described by you. Concerning the corresponding squares I can say it works and usualy the time for constructing the 2 piece table is well spent. If you're interested, I can mail you some descriptions (all in German language), but I've to admit that my implementation is far away from beeing speed optimized and of course only corresponding squares oriented. regards Rafael B.
