I was hoping for something in a portable language. C compilers exist for almost
every platform/OS in the world, whereas Delphi is available only for
Windows/x86Linux. (I'm aware though that this is 99.9% of all platforms :)

Maybe I even start my own project with UCI then. While the xboard/winboard
interface is pretty easy to start witb, it's a rather ugly interface IMO,
especially because it has state. (I'm not blaming the author for this - I'm
aware that it has its roots with GNUchess) So maybe I'll start with something as
soon as Sinan (my engine) has 3000 ELO. :p
