Why do computer manufacturers go out of their way to maintain a server >line of computers? Machines dedicated to servers take into consideration mainly for big memory, fast processor, backup systems (raid?), perhaps graphics card and BIG HDs (mostly SCSI). Regular computers also take into consideration nice monitors, CDRW, DVDroms, subwoffers and stuff like that, which are not important or needed for server. Servers are dedicated computers, which are mostly on 24/7, thats not ussually the case for personal computers. Servers also doesnt necessarily need to be very fast, its the memory thats important for web/mail/ftp type servers. pavs
