I have a Sony with 256 that is supposed to be 1.7gig processor. Not only do I have problems with my Chessbase programs, but with others. I keep my old 356mh with 128 ram and can compare. Not only do the programs boot faster on my old clunk but all my Chessbase programs run great. After I bought, I discovered by reading Cnet reviews that Sony computers not only run slow (at least the vaio rx) but has many other problems. You don't always get what you pay for. (mine is not professional but home edition)
