Ok, thanks for contributions. We have some recollections of very deep forced-mate announcements and a significantly deep forced-mate (from the Leiden tournament) which was presumably followed-up and won ... I haven't been able to check yet. The caution that (e.g. Fritz') announcements of 'mate in N' do not imply that N moves are required. I have noticed this, but I'm happy if the search-engine does not optimise known wins but tries to bottom-up less clear positions instead. There are some examples of studies - thought to be draws - which were in fact very deep wins. See, e.g., John Roycroft's book on Kasparyan's studies (last appendix). g
