There are MANY engineering samples of the Sledge/Clawhammer out. Major board manufacturers like Gigabyte are already showing boards at Computex. Also, the AthlonXP 2200+ (0.13 micron) is out now. look for "amd 2200+" on pricewatch. $215. For the 2GHz AthlonXP 2500+ look here. It's preorder though. http://www.computerbroker.ch/innowaytor/shop/get_ArtDetail.cfm?sart_artnr=266.28 Also, you must be joking with the comment about the Sledge/Clawhammer not being able to beat the Pentium4. Even an AthlonXP can beat the Pentium4 and the Sledgehammer is *MUCH* faster than the AthlonXP (Yes, I have seen a few tests). Hell, even a 1Ghz Celeron can beat a P4-1.5GHz. I don't care how much cache they put on a P4, it's still a step in the wrong direction IMO. On June 06, 2002 at 13:58:46, Rajen Gupta wrote: >the hammer is basixcally a non-starter.
