Subject: Chessmaster wins big Shep Championship II

Hi all,

after 3 and a half months, the big Shep Championship 1998 II has finally come to
an end.

After a sensational performance, Chessmaster 5555 dethroned defending champion
Rebel 9 in the finals by winning 7:2 (+6 =2 -1), with an incredible finish of 6
wins in a row.
(40/120 + 40/120 + 60/game on 2 nearly identical P6-200, oc'ed to 233 MHz, 64 MB
RAM)

Overall result:
	1. Chessmaster 5555
	2. Rebel 9.0 [automatically qualified for the finals]
	3. Fritz 5.01
	4. Junior 4.6, MChess Pro 7.0
	6. Nimzo 98, Hiarcs 6.0, Chessmaster 5500 JS, Crafty 14.8

total number of games: 79 (since 18.4.98)
