Hi Kurt,

It could be possible that Hiarcs 8 is similar to the Rebel Century programs in
that it does much better against human opponents than programs. Hiarcs 8 is
obviously being out-searched in depth and then loses to tactics against
programs, but wouldn't run into the same problems near as much against humans
because they are on average not as tacticaly sharp! The programer claims more
knowledge was programed into it and even though there are improvements made to
it's search depth which is now faster than it's brother Hiarcs 7.32, it
obviously isn't good enough! Perhaps just a little too much knowledge was
programed into it to compete against the top programs, but this is great if it
will play better against humans.(this is uncertain) I personally like "Rebel"
for it's type of play against humans and would rather see "Hiarcs" go in this
direction rather than than the other. Just my opinion!

Thanks for the games and all of your efforts! I really enjoy the Tournaments.

Best Regards,
Terry
