recently I've been examining this position: [D] 8/p2Pk3/1p2B2R/6P1/8/3Kp3/3b1r2/8 b - - Bc1 appears to be the "only move" here and generates something close to a draw score. Other moves such as Rf8 lose quickly. Crafty locks onto Bc1 right away and so do most versions of Arasan but my latest experimental version is having a little trouble finding it. Too many extensions, perhaps - I'm still not sure. --Jon
