If you go there you will see a link Tim Mann's Chess Pages above which will lead you to his pages at http://www.tim-mann.org/chess.html which work perfectly well for me. If you visit some of the other links you see in the WinBoard forum you will find out that many of them already answer a lot of your questions so that you can find out the truth on your own.
