I called my program Queen because I wanted it to be elegant, especially as far as the GUI version is concerned. At the time I was very unfamiliar with other chess programs. Now that I know there are so many other programs that are at least as elegant as mine, I am not particularly happy with this name, but I am reluctant to change it because this would cause much confusion.
