The name for Green Light Chess is supposed to be a pun on Deep Blue... i.e. Green Light was the best I could come up with that was exactly opposite to Deep Blue... implying that Green Light is very weak (as Deep Blue is very strong). Obviously, Green Light also has another meaning... sort of "go for it!" in english, which was enough for me to choose it. I'm still trying to think of a better name for some theoretical new engine of mine that plays a lot better! :) Cheers, Tim.
