Subject: Question for every chess programmer???????

hello , the program which have learning files like
crafty,gandalf,nimzo2000wb,patzer,yace and many does these all engines and
program really learns from losses or it is just like that i just want to make
sure that if gandalf plays more games does it learns more can anyone tell me is
the learning files is real or it is just a files it learns nothing..........
