I have used it several times, though I am not very familiar with MacOSX and
UNIX, but I have used both of them. From what I have seen on MacOSX, it seemed
more or less like windows (functions-wise), with the stability and security of
UNIX, and Its very beautiful.

Its not UNIX, its based on UNIX.
maybe someone more familiar with MacOSX can confirm that.

ps, to make this post ontopic, I have seen sme nice chess programs on MacOS, and
AFAIK there is also a MacOS version of winboard.
