One more point to make on my database. Of the roughly 2000 games played by Fritz 7 & Chess Tiger 14.0, 690 have been played vs each other. If I consider only those 690 games Fritz 7 has an 8 point Elo advantage over Chess Tiger 14.0. However if I take only the last 200 games, Fritz shows about a 36 Elo point advantage over Tiger. I think this means that the Fritz 7 updates have added some strength. I guess it could be just normal variation though. Jim
