I am thinking a way to implement Bishop’s tropism for my engine. I know that some use distance with opponent King for it. However, that method is not relevant for me: a closed Bishop seems not to make more dangerous for opp King (but it may be easily attacked by that King) than a far one. I think it may be better if I check and bonus for a Bishop if it is in the same diagonal with one of 9 squares of that King (it has potential of attacking King). Did anyone try this? Any idea / suggestion? Thanks. PHN
