A small bonus...for move ordering!

I had the impression you were originally talking about evaluation:
'The difference between the two is about .15 pawns. Which, if I give a .5 pawn
bonus for a capture, is enough to cover the spread.'

Unless the evaluation of both moves is exactly the same (very unlikely),
the bonusses that are given in move ordering will not (and should not!)
affect the move that is played.
