Adding (a) and (b) brings up something I mooted six months ago in another place, on the subject of moderation lite. It does involve more coding work, though. As there is and should be no intention to punish, "why not" (urgh - how we programmers hate those two words) permit "read-only" access to CCC for everyone, without asking for a password? The right to read should *not* IMO be moderated at all. Effectively it is now, as excluded transgressors may not enter the site at all. So either: 1. Things are rejigged so that the password prompt appears only when posting, for the first time in a session. or 2. Things appear as they do, but if a wrong password/username combi is entered the user is allowed in but without posting privileges. Please consider this. Kind regards fca
