Interesting you mention these 2 moves.

13. Ne5 is a logical consequence of 11. Bb5 and 12. Bxd7+

14. Qd3! is the key-move to the surprising 15. Qf3! which started all the
complication. I was very pleased with 14. Qd3 although I didn't understand
the move at all at first sight.

Let me explain (again) about anti-GM as there is too many confusion about
the option. The 2 tournament games are good examples what anti-GM does.
anti-GM is about the initiative. Without the initiative against players
> 2600 better stay home -:)

anti-GM has 4 settings:
- OFF (normal positional play)
- ACTIVE (anti-GM software active, but a bit careful)
- STRONG (anti-GM software active, but now aggressive)
- SMART (Rebel10 decides what to use (off, active or strong))

Now the setting against Anand was SMART which is also the standard
setting in Rebel10.

It means that Rebel10 during the game for every new move will decide
what to use (off, active or strong). So in a complete game of say 40 moves
Rebel may decide to use 30 moves with off, 5 moves with active and 5
moves using the strong option. After having seen over 100 auto232 games
I think this value (40 = 30/5/5) is pretty accurate using anti-GM = smart.

One of the bottom lines of anti-GM is that if Rebel already has a position
that favors the program here is NO NEED to use anti-GM anymore
(mission accomplished) and Rebel will play its normal positional style
meaning that anti-GM = off is used.

As an extra the ACTIVE and STRONG options can be set. This means
that SMART is overruled and that you can play whole games with the
anti-GM option. I can not recommend this for optimal play but it is
surely fun to play with these options.

Last point, anti-GM (using smart) in MOST CASES will affect the opening
or early mid-game only! It's a logical outcome of its goals. Search for
positions (set the rules) which favors Rebel. When you have reached your
goal you then simply rely on the normal chess knowledge of the program.

See above. Next, if you are interested I can produce a statistic which shows
the differences between Rebel9 and Rebel10 in moves, time and score
based on about 500 positions.
