I wrote one back in the late 70's and early 80's. Then the IBM PC came out and I never migrated it. Now I'm a user running blitz 5 minute tournaments continually in the background. The current combatants are Anmon 5.21, Crafty 18.14, Crafty 18.15 (Corbit version), and Yace 0.99.56. In the last year, I would guess about 18,000 games have been played on my slow 166mhz machine.
