Chess engines are not at all the best source for tutorials. If that person can come up with the money, he/she should hire a competent professional HUMAN tutor. Chess-playing programs and chess databases are wonderful! But they will never take the place of a human tutor, in my opinion. [Chess programmers take note! Does this sound like a challenge?] ChessMaster is probably far better as an aid in tutoring than either of the programs mentioned. Bob D. USER
