A value of 498 for Queens and 900 for >Rooks? >Kurt Hi. His list is from use by the wb2uci adapter the let you adjust the values from inside the gui. The three last number in each lines means: <default>|<minimum>|<maximum> So in his pawn line: Opponents Pawn (opp)=cm_parm opp=%i|spin|117|0|4500 he use a setting of 117 as default and in the queenline: Opponents Queen (opq)=cm_parm opq=%i|spin|117|0|498 the value is also 117 as default I don't think this would work with Fritz since the gui don't send default values. If you use it like this you have to use The original King values as default values, eg. don't edit the proposed setting for The King in the ini file but use it as it is. For making personalities you have to use the method proposed by Fritz help file, just like you would with any uci or native engine. Then Fritz would send these new settings to the engine/adapter. The other method I mention in the readme file is a lot easier to use and exchange setting when you use fixed settings. Eg. save all settings in separate files and only have the line for selecting settingfiles in the ini file. I use this method when I want to play against one of CM's personality in a real game (DGT-board + Shredder + TheKing). Odd Gunnar
