Subject: font problem with Fritz 7 and ChessBase Light

I have a (font??) problem with Fritz 7. The same problem shows up on ChessBase
Light, too.

The texts shown in Fritz/CBLight window look like garbage. These include the
list of moves and annotations. Also, when I open the database, it is supposed
to show a list of games. The list of games (names of the players, dates,
locations, etc) all look like garbage. The characters look like random funny
symbols, many are little square boxes.

Sometimes, if I minimize the window, and reopen it again (thus forcing the
window to refresh), the text may become legible for a while. But after I do
something, like making a move, the text become illegible again.

I went to CaseBase's web site and downloaded the latest Fritz7 update. That
didn't help my problem.

I am running Windows 95 (gasp!) on a 5-year old 200MHz Pentium Pro.

Can somebody help me?

Does ChessBase provide Tech Support by email or by any other means?

Thanks.

Charles
