WMCCC has (in the past) been "commercially available microprocessor"
only, and only one cpu allowed until last year.

WCCC has been "bring anything you want, from a $1,000 PC to a $100,000,000
supercomputer.  Or anything you care to build yourself (deep thought for
example, or Belle.)
