Take a polynominal of n-th degree for n given values and look what it gives for
the (n+1)-th value. No idea if this may work for you because I do not know what
kind of input values you use. At least you get a function that fits exacatly for
the given values. Determining the coefficients of the polynominal is in this
case easy and only a system of linear equations has to be solved.
