Let me remind you of times where there were entries running on Crays or equivalent heavy duty stuff, and they lost to competitors, one of them running on a 20 MhZ Sun station (enhanced with a couple of VLSI chips), another one running on an off-the-shelf Pentium 90. Sheer computing power doesn't help if your evaluation function isn't good. No offence to any of the readers, and please correct me if I don't correctly remember the exact details. Sven.
