Receipt
1. Select an opening line with White's e5-pawn (French, Sicilian) and
kingside castling of Black's king.
2. Shift out from book as soon as possible.
3. Attack Black's kingside using blockage with f6-sqare. You may sacrify
all your pieces aside from the used to mate.
I have used successfully this receipt in several my games.
All this brought to my mind when I was anlalyzed the two following games.
[Event "Infinite Loop-1, Rapid, 2th Ten"]
[Site "PII 567MHz 128MB"]
[Date "2002.07.02"]
[Round "1"]
[White "Comet B37"]
[Black "Sjeng 12.10"]

8. Bc4 Bg7 9. Qf3 e6
{Here 9... f5 can prevent the possible blockage of black's king
side.}
10. Bf4 Ne7 11. Ne4 O-O 12. O-O-O! Nd5 13. Bg5 Qa5 14. Bxd5 exd5 15. Nf6+
Bxf6
{There is no escape! The game is over. If 15... Kh8 then the
manoevre Rd1-Rd4-Rh4 wins}
16. Qxf6 Qd8 17. Qxd8 Rxd8 18. Bxd8 h6 19. Be7 Kg7 20. h4 h5 21. Rh3 Rb8
22. Ra3 a6 23. Rd4 Kg8 24. Bd6 Rb6 25. Rf4 Rb5 26. Raf3 Rb4 27. Rxb4 g5 28.

Rg7+ Kh8 35. Rxh5#
{White mates} 1-0
In the second game, e5-f6-square theme has been an option.
[Event "Infinite Loop-1, Rapid, 2th Ten"]

[Round "5"]
[White "Comet B37"]

Kb1 Bd7 21. a3?
{Delay is dangerous in double-edged positions. Such positions can
be win only with a faster attack. White had a chance to win with
21. Rf4! and if 21... Ng6 then 22. e5! - Here it is, e5-f6-squares
theme! - For instance, 22... Nxf4 23. Rxf4 g6 24. Qh6 Bxg5 25. Qxg5
+-
When I gave this position to Crafty 18.15, he quickly found 21. Rf4, but
not 22. e5!
From Crafty log:
13 13:08 0.42 21. Rf4 Ng6 22. Rf2 Ne5 23. Nd1 Rbc8
24. Bf1 a5 25. Bf4 Ng6 26. Bc1 b4 27.

}
21... a5 22. Na2 Rfc8 23. Bd1 b4 24. axb4 g6 25. Qh6 axb4 26. Rf4
Bf8 27. Qh4 Qa5 28. Nxb4 Rxb4 29. Rxb4 Qxb4 30. c3 Qc4 31. Bd4 Ra8 32. b3
Qa6 33. Kc1 Qa1+ 34. Kd2 Ra2+ 35. Bc2 Qb1 36. Qh8+
{White resigns} 0-1

Igor
