There are many ways. *If* the OS is badly written. The case here seems to be that the unadapted OS either triggers an interrupt fairly often and/or uses instructions that suddenly became hideously expensive in the new CPU. Think, running shoe that suddenly fits because the sole has popped loose. MvH Dan Andersson
